First of all, all the employees there can speak decent English, and all of them are very friendly. I really like how they guide you through the check-in process and everything, and all the facilities provided by the hostel. They even got a dedicated shoe storage space and shoe dryer!!! I stayed in a 6-person mixed dorm, and each bed has 2 type-A plugs. The shower room is so clean and well-equipped. Body soap, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, and hair dryer are provided. Each floor has its own shower room, so everything is so good. On top of that, there is a common area on Level 2, and you can freely use any of the facilities (kitchen, fridge, cooking utensils, washing machine, etc.). Do note that you need to pay for the washing machine, but it's fine. They also provide slippers for all guests. The most caring part of the hostel is that there's Braille at the lift!!! I would 100% recommend this hostel and come back again in the future.

Location is really good, close to Keihan line Shichijo station what gives you an opportunity to discover Gion, Fushimi Inary Srine, Uji city and other locations. The hostel is a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and there are also bus stops nearby, which are very convenient for getting around the city. Towels are not provided, but you can rent them. There is a hairdryer and 3 showers on the floor (at this time of year, this was enough, I don't know how the situation is in high season). There is shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, and hand soap in the common area. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook something. There are refrigerators, drinking water, etc. You can store your luggage before check-in and after check-out. The staff is great and always helpful if you have any questions. You can also use umbrellas for free and borrow chargers if you need them. The place itself is pretty quiet.

The common area was the best I have experienced in a hostel environment. I was very thankful for the bean bags when I arrived and needed a nap. There kitchen is well equipped for all the meals you’d need to make. The rooms are a little tight but excellent use of under the bead for the locker. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and in very good condition. There is very helpful information on planning your trip in Kyoto in the downstairs area. There are umbrellas to borrow and bikes to rent. I took the bike for a short ride along the river. It was very nice.

The location is really great, and the hostel in itself is good. We had a private room, which makes such a big difference. We didn't use the kitchen but the shared bathroom was always clean and it's comfortable. We were located in the second building next to the main one. Our building was calm, and guests were respectful of it. They provide slippers to walk inside and lockers for the room. Towels are not included but you can rent one for 100¥.

Excellent location - walking distance from Kyoto and Shichijo train stations, and some bus stops. Some tourist spots are also walkable from the hostel. The staff are very accommodating, and always available on the aforementioned time. The rooms (esp. bed/mattresses) and common areas are very clean. Really appreciate the suggestions board on the first floor - I was able to enjoy autumn views because of it.
